Top 6 Features That Make the New MacBook Pro Different
1. Touchscreen OLED Display
The biggest change is the new PROLED XDR tandem OLED display. It supports direct touch interactions, including scrolling, pinching to zoom, dragging, and manipulating onscreen content.
Its 120Hz adaptive refresh rate improves motion smoothness. Additionally, brightness of up to 2,000 nits supports demanding visual workflows.
This combination makes the laptop particularly interesting for photographers, graphic designers, video editors, and creative professionals.
2. Powerful M5 Pro and M5 Max Chips
The M5 Pro and M5 Max processors target demanding professional workloads. They support tasks such as software development, video editing, 3D rendering, and AI-assisted creative applications.
Meanwhile, the M5 Max configuration offers additional performance headroom for graphics-intensive projects. Therefore, professionals can choose a configuration based on their actual workload instead of paying for unnecessary performance.
3. Dynamic Island Comes to Mac
Dynamic Island introduces a new way to access selected activities and controls on the MacBook Pro. It brings elements such as Spotlight, Live Activities, and Siri AI into a more accessible interface.
As a result, users can access relevant information without constantly switching between windows.
4. Advanced AI Capabilities
The new chips feature hardware designed to accelerate AI workloads. Depending on the software and model, users can benefit from on-device AI processing for supported creative, development, and productivity applications.
This is especially relevant for developers and professionals exploring AI-assisted workflows. However, actual performance depends on the application, configuration, and workload.
5. Long Battery Life
Apple claims up to 24 hours of battery life. Actual battery performance depends on display brightness, software, connected accessories, and workload.
Even so, this capacity makes the laptop attractive to professionals who frequently work away from their desks.
6. Professional Connectivity and Audio
Thunderbolt 5, HDMI, an SDXC card slot, and MagSafe 3 support demanding desk setups and external devices. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 provide updated wireless connectivity.
Furthermore, the six-speaker sound system and 12MP Center Stage camera support video meetings, presentations, and multimedia production.
